Ph.D. student in Statistics and Social Data Analytics
The Pennsylvania State University
I am a third-year Ph.D. student in Penn State’s Department of Statistics, where I am a research assistant at the Statistical Consulting Center. My research addresses methodological and applied problems in the health and social sciences. I mainly work with Bayesian methods and statistical network models, which I apply to questions about legislative speech, immigration and criminal justice, and the size of hard-to-reach populations, such as those at elevated risk for HIV.
I am a co-developer of networkscaleup, a Python package for fitting network scale-up models to aggregated relational data. Previously, I was a Data Analyst Fellow at the Bureau of Justice Statistics through the Coding it Forward program. Before that, I earned my B.S. in Political Science and Statistics from The Ohio State University in 2024, graduating with honors research distinction in Political Science.
When not coding in R or cooking up a cool data visualization, you can probably find me scoping out a new coffee spot, catching a movie at my local theater, or lounging on the shores of a great lake.
