What this course is about

R is the working language of statistics and data science. Over six weeks you’ll learn to import, clean, wrangle, and visualize real data using R and the tidyverse, write reproducible analyses in Quarto, and use Git/GitHub to manage your work. The course emphasizes descriptive and graphical analysis over inferential statistics.

By the end of the course you will have completed an independent data analysis project of your own design.

About AI in this course

You may use generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) with disclosure on out-of-class work. In-class work is closed-book. You’ll be expected to walk through your project code in person at two oral checkpoints. See the AI policy for the full details.
